Welcoming speech of the President of IAWPA “PEGASI” ALBANIA, Prof.
Kristaq F. Shabani, writer, poet, researcher, aesthete at the opening of
the Curtain of the 12th SYMPOSIUM OF PEGASI INTERNATIONAL
Dear special friends of the magical Art of the colourful word of colour,
of the dynamic and beautiful soul!
Dear poets and scholars from the country and from the world! Dear
collaborators and co-participants on this important and historic event
for contemporary world literature!
Dear poets, writers, scholars, artists from all partner countries, our
good and dear friends who, at least, we have 25 years since, with much
vivacity and love we have spoken figuratively in our old and genius
languages, we have fought for a diversity of literary and artistic
thought, we have developed the universal exchange of values and competed
in favour of literary and artistic progress. Sacrifices are often
beautiful and tempting, especially when they are designed for the art of
figuration! All of you, who are present virtually here today and those
who will follow us on social networks and some who find virtual presence
impossible, have not uttered a single word in Albanian in this ancient
language of eagles.
First of all, we wanted to thank you for sacrificing Your time with an
active presence for something sacred and adorable as Literature and art;
to also thank all the poets and writers, writers, artists, scholars,
publishers, anywhere in the world, who gave their assistance with their
intellect and their intellectual and professional mental skills during
this quarter of a century of the existence of the partnership with the
Albanian Pegasi, which, with its major activities took on the dimensions
of a great literary hurricane.
Special thanks to Mrs. Teresinka Pereira President of IWA (Ohio USA),
Beniamin Uzon former Presient of UPLI (post mortal), Mrs. Panajota
Zaloni, President of the Association of Writers and Poets ”XASTERON”,
the Publisher of the literary magazine “KELENO” Athens, Greece, Dinos

President of the Pegasi Brasilian Alternative Academy Prof. Magna
Aspasia Montenelle (Brasil), Francisco Azuela (Bolivia); The Poet and
Journalist Michael Rothenberg, the organizer of the ten world powerful
manifestations “100.000 World Poets for change”, the Secretary Genral
of Poetas Del Mundo, Mr. Luiz Aranzo, Mrs Giovanna di Volti Lombardia
(ALIAS Australia), Mr. Mimmo Imbrogno, President of Alternative Academy
of Arbëresh of Italy, The President of the Association “Teuta” the
artist, director and Publisher of the magazine “ILIRIA” in Croatia,
Mrs. Shenida Bilalli… The list of thanks is much long, as also the
contribution is very big. Among us, without doubt, today are the 3000
poets and poetesses participants our Universal Anthology “OPEN LANE”
from 130 countries of the world, which has become an anthological belt
and two of these anthologies have won the great prize issued by IWA
(USA).
Some of these, mentioned above, are present during these days of the
Symposium progress virtually here with their speeches such as: Nadia
Cella - Pop, Patrich Sammut, Teresinka Pereira, Kuldeep Srivastava…
I am obliged to thank the excellent work of Prof. Dr. Florentin
Scamarache, who, in addition to his speech, has sent his books on
paradoxical literature to the International Fair.
We come to this symposium event after 11 of this kind of international
level and a Congress of Literature; we come with thousands of activities
of different formats and in different countries, we come after
thousands of publications in different languages, after many conferences
and other formats. We have electrified with our dimensional activities
readers, scholars in many countries of the World. I can tell you today
that there are over 6000 personalities from different countries, poets,
writers, artists, publishers, presidents of associations, academies and
others who have contact with us, especially during the great literary,
artistic and cultural engagements…
Dear Panajota Zaloni, You came to Albania several times, about which you
asked so many questions, published so many, but also contacted and
really knew, this great poetic spirit, this great epic fire, this bright
toning of freedom. And the beginning of the acquaintance, the
fulfilment of the dream, for the recognition of Albania starts here from
this place which surprises and warms spiritually. During these 20 years
of existence you have done an extraordinary job with the famous and
world literary magazine "KELENO", realizing the universal exchange of
values between poets and poetesses around the world. We will continue
the cooperation with you and all of you others in the future, further
expanding the space of action and influence.
Our friend, Dinos Coubatis, an impulsive link in the poetic trajectory, a
dynamic example of warmth and connection between the two white-haired
of the Balkans…, but also with the poetic, literary, symbolic, artistic
arsenal of other peoples… Here is what literature does: it unites,
dynamizes, accelerates in progress, opens the eyes of those who follow
it, blinds the blind, makes the tongue-tied play with figurative speech,
heals the crippled… Not in vain, a parable of my creative wealth says:
mutilation is not mutilation, when a part is missing in the body,
mutilation is mutilation when the brain moves from its place (in "Fatal
Keyword") I would like to greet, on your behalf, all literary
enthusiasts, all authors, and artists wherever they are, all the virtual
attendees this week, who love literature, art! We have a very big,
beautiful and very rich soul, which they unfold and we are the reference
point for the supreme people. The beautiful soul never dies. Such
examples abound throughout the world. Here is Moliere, here is Leon
Tolstoy and many constellations of life…
July is in its scorching heat, in the explosion of "flowering", when an
event is being celebrated, which can be outlined and travelled in the
future with an increasingly beautiful repetition. We come to this event,
after a painful pandemic, where the literary and artistic world also
lost many authors and artists. May their memory last forever!
It was an idea of the people of letters to organize this Symposium in
honour of the Birthday of Pegasi… Gjirokastra, this town with an
immortal heart, with uplifting imagination, fertile fantasy, contouring
and empowering fantasy in seven typical hills, resembling a intelligent
week - Monday - Sunday and magical repetition is the birthplace of
Pegasi…, so it explodes beautifully from the mountainous chest, followed
by oral and phonetic honey, by the architecture mounted with a spirit
of welcome: "You came" to this town virtually, now we know how to add
pleasure to your sensitive hearts, to your watchful eyes… Let us
fantasize and hope that you will have the goodness to come to this
stunning space, to this celestial Olympic ascension, to this magical
relief fit, in this light of wisdom, and, without doubt, you will
produce sketches, stories, reports, articulated dedications… And you
poets of a part of the world, you have come here from long distances,
you have come with your messages, with the verses poured in the
greetings, with your books, with the competitive creations in the free
competition "PEGASI 2021", where everything is said sensibly and with a
lot of courage… This town, no matter how ancient it is, there have never
been so many poets, civilized people of the Globe present… Such a
poetic, artistic arrival, no matter the distance, feels close, very
close and this situation is deeply sensitive, beautiful and fiery in
such cultured towns with capacities practiced and placed in points of
greatness of history full of traditions, such as Gjirokastra, which is
motivated not only figuratively "strange city", or the production of
conceived wonder. Here, in this dynamic architecture, in this stone
carpet, in this representation of what the inhabitants of this strange
town know how to do…, or in this giant book with letters, with
surprising stone formats, where the emblematic format framed by the sky,
by the ground, near and far, impresses you, stops you from looking at
and reading the "annual reports", to open the archives with a stately
key.
The art of the Albanian word combined with speaking in a dynamic
language, such as: English, Portuguese, Spanish, French, German, Greek,
Italian, Russian, etc., will show that the journey of universal exchange
of values will light our souls and will prove that we, better than
anyone, know how to get along with each other, know how to universalize
values, excel at progress, as we are capable and educated with the
boldest politics of enlightenment, without shading, contemporary
literary politics, illuminated by a grouping of innovations… We are the
cream and human society must turn its gaze towards us, as its future,
without the presence of our qualitative social and progressive abundance
of thought, it becomes swampy, rachitic…
In this symposium with object:
"DIVERSITY OF LITERARY AND ARTISTIC THOUGHT, UNIVERSALITY OF VALUES IN
LITERATURE AND CONTEMPORARY ART"
we will express our opinions, using analytics for all materials, which
all participants from all countries are familiar with.
The leitmotif of the Symposium is: "We are all Angels ... Come join our
